NEET 2026 MCC Counselling Rounds — Complete Guide

Stage 01

Round 1

First official seat allotment by MCC. Students must register, pay security deposit (₹10,000 general, ₹5,000 SC/ST) and fill college preferences. Seats allotted based on rank and choices.

Stage 02

Round 2

Second allotment for remaining seats. Students from Round 1 can upgrade to better college if available. New students can also join Round 2.

Stage 03

Mop Up Round

Final round for seats remaining after Round 1 and 2. Only for AIQ quota seats. Last chance for government MBBS through central counselling.

Stage 04

Stray Vacancy

After all MCC rounds complete. Seats vacant due to non-joining. Very limited seats available. Walk-in reporting at college level.

Stage 05

Internal Sliding

After joining a college. Students can slide to better branch within same college if seats available. Does not affect overall MBBS admission.

"FREEZE means accept current seat. FLOAT means try for better college in same or higher preference. SLIDE means try for better branch in same college."
